Examples of Challenge types
for
Topic challenges
The examples you see here are Pokémon... Reason? Because Pokémon was the first topic that was released for the topic challenges. More topics will be released in the future and I might update these to add more examples. Also all the examples you see here are done by professional artists... I don't expect perfection, in fact I don't want perfection. Perfection is boring and impossible.... This group is for ALL SKILL LEVELS so just have fun :-D
Gijinka
Gijinka is the Japanese meaning of “humanoid”, “personification”, or“anthropomorphic”. Rather than referring to just any animal with human characteristics, a gijinka is most often a fan re-design of an animal-like character in a human or humanoid form. Gijinka originated as a form of anthropomorphism. One personifies non-human things such as animals, inanimate objects, and phenomena by attaching human characteristics and traits.
Redesign
Basically I would randomly choose a subject and you would redesign it to how you think it should look. Will you give it a complete overhaul and make something completely different? Or maybe you would make it look more realistic? Cooler? Tougher? Cuter? Clever? Beautiful? ;-D
Hybrid/fusion
Taking two subjects.... and combining them into one....
Boom.
Boom.
Anthropomorphism
Anthropomophic is a word
which literally means "human shaped" (from the Greek anthrōpos (human being) + morphē (shape)). It is used to describe a concept
called anthropomorphism, or ascribing human characteristics to non-human beings or objects. Typically, this is
used in reference to deities, which are usually given the form of humans. However, the word can apply
to any non-human thing, including animals, plants, and inanimate objects.
